Ok computer friends...does anyone know how to reduce lag with a capture card? I want to start recording PSVR on OBS again but I have lag issues which sucks when surronded by enemies #VR #vrgaming #gaming #vrcommunity #psvr

Usually depends on your computer hardware, and the quality you're capturing. I use an Elgato HD60 with decent spec desktop now, but before that I had a slower laptop and an AVerMedia LGP Lite and OBS was too much for it to handle. Could just about use the bundled capture s/w.

I have a brand new HP Omen gaming laptop and it's pretty fast. I was just reading online about going into tasks settings and making the capture card a priority and setting it to high I'm going to give that a try and see if that works

Hmm, yeah you should prob be alright with that, maybe priority will help. What capture card and how have you got it all hooked up?

I use an HD HDMI capture card and I run it feom the VR box to the PC.

Where are you seeing the lag? In the headset? Or do you mean a delay like @PSVRfrank covered in his vid at youtube.com/gAQVwPB7D4o?t=400

yeah in the headset there is a few second delay especially when i am fighting

If you're seeing a delay in the HMD it's most likely a hardware problem, an Elgato won't fix that, it really only helps with the delay between you live/on-video/speaking mixed with gameplay. If you're just trying to capture gameplay, the PS4 is adequate!

Replying to @PSVRfrank @playz_vr
Thanks Frank. Yeah it's a weird one, I'm assuming there's no delay in the HMD when not connected to the capture card though (Lissa?). Stupid question, but you've definitely got the cap card between the breakout box and TV, not somehow between the PS and breakout box?? 馃
