Game industry’s reluctance to raise game prices above $60 is tricking down in a very bad way to indie devs. While big budget games can attract enough people to captialize on micro-transactions or churn out DLC, players now often look at full indie games and say “too expensive.”

When the reality is that those indie games are generally less expensive but don’t hide up front costs in the way that larger games do. I think the whole industry, gamers included, would be much better off if the de facto game price was moved to $100 if not $120.
