I’ve seen some test applications, but I wonder how long it will be until we can toss on an HMD and take control of some robot across the world and work a menial and repetitive job?

Heh, I have thought of this same thing too but on an epic and granular scale... Imagine a spot #labor market per task. Ex: Your food order could be assembled by a multi-national human remote controlled #robot force. Next order goes to lowest cost per task.
