Hey there, have you tried initializing the Realm from inside the game instead of that menu in the launcher? Let us know if that changes anything or if you're still encountering issues. ^FF

We at Minecraft Support cannot change Java profile names for players, but you will be able to change your Java profile name in 30 days, and your previous profile name will be held for an additional week after that. ^FF

Hey there, are you seeing any errors when attempting to join a Realm? You may also need to check and see that your PlayStation Plus subscription is still active, as this is required in order to access multiplayer play in Minecraft. ^FF

Just to check, do you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription? If not, that could be what's causing this issue with accessing your Realm. Minecraft on all consoles (PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox) each require a paid online subscription for online multiplayer and Realms. ^FF

Your friend will need to make sure that they're on the latest update, and if they play on a console, they'll also need to have an active subscription that allows multiplayer access (PlayStation Plus, Nintendo Online, etc.). Let us know if they are still having issues! ^FF
