Does this error pop up when you're trying to update Minecraft, or when launching the game? If this pops up inside the game, try completely closing Minecraft and then see if the update is available for you then. Let us know if you continue running into any issues! ^FF

If you're having issues with your console detecting that you own the game, your best bet is to reach out to the Support team for the platform you play Minecraft on. For Xbox consoles, Microsoft Support can be reached at nitter.vloup.ch/xboxsupport or support.xbox.com. ^FF

Minecraft data (worlds, inventory, skins) is stored locally on your device and isn't attached to your account; we're unable to recover that data if it's been lost/corrupted. Check our guides on managing data/game storage: help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/… & help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/…. ^FF
