@MojangSupport I received an email saying an account has been made using my email. However I do not play minecraft etc.

Sorry to hear that!You can delete the account in the settings,deleted accounts cant be re-registered so it wont happen again^A

It wont let me delete the account as I still haven't received an email for security questions. Still says try again later.
