To find out if a username is taken, go to your Mojang account and click change. Third party checkers and hasPaid are not always accurate.

Have servers who need the haspaid back... "ln.is/minecraft.net/73gkQ" and the api mojang has a limit of connections...

Since I migrated to a microsoft account you can't check anymore if you have changed your username recently.
