It is asking me to create a microsoft account. I don't know why I need one and I think I already have one.

The ticket creation form doesn't (or at least it shouldn't) require you to create an account, Microsoft or otherwise. If you see a form field to specify a Gamertag, you can provide your existing Microsoft account Gamertag there. It's there for our agents in case we need it. -AG
