Downloading Minecraft for my cousin and the dumb new Microsoft (apparently?) website is asking me to buy it. Bill, Iโ€™ve owned it since Alpha. Cmon man be serious

They f*cked me over too. I sent them a copy of my original receipt but they always just drop the case. I've complained about how shitty @MojangSupport is any number of times on here and they'll reach out and say they are happy to help me but they never do. Thieves.

Nah itโ€™s fine I just logged in and it said I already owned it although there are apparently a ton of expansions and stuff now. Shows how long since Iโ€™ve played it

Canโ€™t remember what I paid for Alpha, it mustnโ€™t have been much more than ten bucks. Pretty good investment

I think it was $15 or $20 for me so you might have been earlier on, but I know I had lifetime "rights" to the Java edition, and I played it for years and years before I took too long of a break from it and couldn't download it anymore.

I have lived in apartments for a year or more for which I have no memory of the internal layout, but I can still close my eyes and visualize everything about my best fort with what I am sure is amazing fidelity.

I was on a multiplayer server -- "Buxville" for a couple of years -- and for a good bit of that time I was running an in game "business" where I bought cobble from other players, crafted it into stone, and sold it at a low-margin markup. lol damn I'm a nerd.

I could I've been here multiple times before and frankly it's not worth any further time investment on my part.
