@MojangSupport I tried to go through the process of contacting through help.minecraft.net to hopefully migrate my account. The CAPTCHA Security Check fails every single time regardless of whether it is correct or not. Does this mean I lose my account then? I sure hope not.

Let's see if we can fix that! If you could, can you try another browser and/or device to see if that helps? I'd also suggest clearing your cache! ^BT

I was using Firefox before and I have tried Chrome now and have got the same result. I installed the Chrome browser just for this so I don't think there's any need to clear the cache on it.
