Is Minecraft down @MojangSupport? Trying to get to Minecraft.net brings me to a 504 error and trying to load into a Realm gives an authentication error.

did you get it to work, if so how? I'm currently getting this error

No. Unfortunately I had to wait ~4ish hours before it went away that time. I think the issue was with uploading to a backup realm.

We are just trying to launch the realms and we all got the error
