What version of the game are you running on your device? This sort of glitch generally only appears on older versions of Minecraft: Java Edition, but if you're running the latest version (1.19.4), then please let us know! ^FF

It's an ancient version, but I inherited an ancient server.

Gotcha. We unfortunately aren't able to offer support for older versions of the game. Installing an older version of your graphics card drivers may help, but that's about all we can suggest for older versions of the game. ^LK

Hilariously, the newest GPU drivers solved the graphical glitch, but I have been having problems for months with "Couldn't verify username because servers are unavailable" at sign-in. Is this because older versions of the game got dropped?
