Every time I click on 'Play' for Java edition, the launcher closes but game doesn't open.. I have to restart the launcher atleast 3 times for game to start.

Hmm, could you try enabling the "Keep the Launcher open while games are running" option in the Launcher settings? Try that, click Play once, and leave it for a bit. Let us know if Java still doesn't open, and if you've tried any other troubleshooting so far. ^LK

I just tried what you said.. it's been more than 5 mins and the game still hasn't started yet.. I havent tried any other troubleshooting methods
