Started a world on PC, then tried to download the mobile app after buying it and I don’t see my world.

Worlds are stored locally, sorry to say. You shouldn't be able to transfer it because it'd stay on your PC. ^BT

Depends! If you have Java, you cannot cross-play with those that have Bedrock. ^BT

I have bedrock on pc. I want to be able to play that world on my phone.

Hmm. Just to clarify, is this a world made on a single-player world or are you talking about a world purchased in our Marketplace? ^BT

I made the world on PC and have been playing with friends online. Away from my pc so got the mobile version to play our world and it’s not there

If it's a single player world and not a Realm your'e not going to see it as it is stored locally. You could upload the World to the Realm, login to the MIcrosoft Account in which you purchased the Realm on. ^TK
