Hey @MojangSupport? I recently got a new PC and am trying to redownload my minecraft client that I've had since 2010 (or earlier) and it says I need to rebuy it. What's the deal here? I've signed into my account and it says to rebuy it.

Demo mode typically indicates the account being logged into does not have a copy of Minecraft. Check out this article: bit.ly/3cluzz3 but also, did you migrate from Mojang to Microsoft? This could indicate you migrated elsewhere. Be sure to check other accounts. ^AM

I bought minecraft back then... I'll check both accounts regardless as I did migrate.

I have the account, but it says this... I've had minecraft since before Alpha. Before the Yogscast made their first video.

Cool... just let me find a purchase transaction code from 2009. That seems to be what it's going to take.

Yeah. The can't do anything without the purchase receipt FROM 2009! I do not have the email the original account was on because you guys made us change them once, then make a minecraft.net account, then migrate to Microsoft. The method of which I purchased is also gone
