Do you get any error messages when trying to access realms? If so, can you provide a screenshot? ^BT

It did nothing when I clicked to join. On either PC or PS4. But the problem was the owner's renewal didn't go through because the processing service tried to use an old payment method. An error message would have been nice, now that you mention it.
