Already done that. I am having this issue with all accounts on my Xbox, leading me to believe that it's possibly a software or console problem rather than an account problem. This problem does not occur using the same account MCPE, only on Xbox.

Those settings weren't the cause. Turns out Xbox Live Gold expired without my knowledge. Might want to update the error message for that to avoid confusion.

You would need to reach out to Xbox/Microsoft support to provide that feedback to them since the issue is with their subscription. ^TK
