@MojangSupport why is literally anything I type in my username change field considered “offensive?” I’ve even tried a name and it say it’s fine only to come back in a few minutes for it to tell me the exact thing I just typed was offensive. This is getting out of hand.

context: There was a friend who used the name of one of my products and I had asked they choose a different name as they stream. They obliged, and now can and has changed their username. Good and all, but now I cannot take the name as it is "in use." Do names lock after changes?

Usernames can be changed every 30 days, but are held for an additional 7 days after that. We don't assist with username changes, but we recommend trying again at a later time! Check this "usernames" section out for more details: bit.ly/3pztnLM ^AM

Understood. Thanks so much for the information on this! It seems the "offensive" filter on the name changes were fixed for him, but I would still keep a very close eye on this.

@MojangSupport This name has still not been released. I know you stated that you don't assist in username changes, but something does seem to be wrong regarding this. I can give details via DM regarding this if anything can be done, I really wish to claim my username.
