The Minecraft "session.lock" contains nothing,
seriously, what is used it for?
I made a backup system for Dedicated Windows Server ignoring this file, after multiple test, the server have no problem to run.
@MojangSupport some explain possible about this file ?

That's some behind-the-scenes dev stuff that we at Social Support can't really answer. Those files do seem pretty critical though, so your best bet is to make sure they don't get deleted! ^AM
