Gee, thanks @MojangSupport bot, that really helps. I tried, years ago, to attach my Microsoft account to Minecraft on the Switch, because that's how you play online. It didn't work. Help bot isn't helpful (they rarely are, if you've read the FAQ and still have a problem).

I can turn on the Switch to find my gamertag, but how do I find a transaction ID?

Apologies for that, you will not have a Transaction ID since your purchase was through Nintendo. Do let your agent in the ticket know your issue and provide any relevant screenshots though, and they'll still be happy to assist. ^AM
