@MojangSupport I have a Realm for my kids and their friends. They very frequently can't connect to the Realm on consoles for days/weeks at a time because the server is "outdated". I'm not interested in paying money for a server that doesn't work a third of the time.

This usually happens when the Realms version and console versions don't match. Be sure to check for updates (instructions on manual updating can be found here bit.ly/3zQm08v) and let us know if you are updated to the latest version and still running into that error. ^AM

That page provides no information on how to manually update on Switch. I closed the game and opened it again (which will ask you to update) but it didn't update.
Is the "server outdated" description not accurate? Does it mean "doesn't match"? That seems like a big difference.

Besides, my issue is that the Realm isn't updating, but the consoles have. Why has it taken almost a week, multiple times, for my realm to update in the last few months?

When I log into the Realm on my PC it tells me that my Realm will be updated soon. This is how I know it's taking so long.
How much downtime should I expect with updates?

I just discovered my Minecraft app on my pc wasn't updated. I updated it and was able to log into the Realm without the warning screen.
Why does the screen say "Your Realm will be updated soon" which is opposite of the truth?
I'm still not happy with weeks of no console access.
