@MojangSupport, are there any known issues with installing the desktop launcher from the Store? I can't run Java Edition because the launcher won't install.

Even the manual installer this the Store issue.

Gamer support was not very helpful, nor was the FAQ, but I found Microsoft Store logs in Event Viewer that led me to an Xbox page about resetting Game Services. This resolved my issue: support.xbox.com/en-US/help/…
