I encountered and error when migrating my Mojang account the new Microsoft account wants me to re purchase Minecraft Java again. Can you help?

If you're having any trouble accessing the full game after migrating your account, remember to use the Microsoft login option with the account that you migrated with, and make sure to remove your old Mojang account from the launcher. See our FAQ: bit.ly/3AUxIQO. ^F

I did that. When I log in to Microsoft I get "Play Demo" or "Buy now!" I own Minecraft Java Edition. I was migrating the account, on the last step, it said it encountered a problem. When I followed the steps again, it just logs me into Microsft with those options.

It sounds like the migration may not have finished. Log out of Microsoft account and back into the Mojang account to double check. Did you receive an email from Mojang stating your account had been successfully migrated to Microsoft? ^AM
