@MojangSupport @MicrosoftHelps @Minecraft I am still unable to smelt iron on Bedrock edition. This is pretty game-breaking, guys, pls fix this !!!!

I haven't seen any other players talking about this. Are you having any other issues with your Bedrock edition and are you using any third party mods by chance? ^TK

No, this is my sole issue and I dont use mods/packs/or anything besides the base game out of fear of something breaking... but it seems to have broke on its own. Note: food can still be cooked but smelting remains an issue
