Let's take a crack at it! First, can you check your Antivirus/Firewall to make sure all the permissions are in order? Also, are you playing on hardwire or wifi? ^BT

If you're on pocket edition that may be a corrupt file causing the issues! If you aren't afraid of losing your single player worlds uninstall/reinstall over WiFi to see if that resolves the issue. ^TK
