As long as you are both playing the Windows 10 Edition of the game you will be able to play with each other. ^TK

My version ins Java edition. I don’t know which version is the one for iPad but is the same number v1.19.

Cross-platform play is not possible between Minecraft: Java Edition and the Bedrock versions of the game; iPad users are only able to use Bedrock, while Java Edition can only be played on PC, Mac, and Linux. Let us know if you have any other questions about this! ^FF
