@MojangSupport hi again, why can't i just quick-invite a friend to my world in Java like I could in Bedrock? It's so much more complicated now.

That's not what I mean. I'm asking WHY is it a different method than Bedrock? With the other, there's no reason for a server file, you just invite them.

well now i have a support question. when i had Bedrock version, i bought the natural textures pack. can that be transferred over or something?

Java Edition and Bedrock editions of Minecraft are entirely separate versions of the game and do not communicate in any way. Unfortunately, this means that content such as capes, worlds, and purchased Marketplace content does not transfer between the editions. ^FF
