@MojangSupport I cant seem to update my minecraft pocket edition. It is stuck in 1.7 version. I downloaded it with amazon appstore in 2018.

If you don't have any single-player worlds you're not afraid of losing uninstall/reinstall. You can also go directly to the app store and see if it will allow you to update from there. ^TK

@MojangSupport I checked the app store but it does not say anything about being able to update the game.

Then in this case, I would go ahead and uninstall the app and then reinstall it. ^TK
