Microsoft forcing Microsoft Minecraft Launcher on Java users was a fucking mistake. It doesn't work. @MojangSupport Fix your launcher.

No. I ended up uninstalling the game and reinstalling from Xbox store about 3 times before it would work in the end.

Likely a corrupt file! Not sure if you checked the firewall/antivirus but always a good place to start when running into technical issues. ^TK
