I am a console player on Xbox and went to play my world today although for some reason it failed to sync and disappeared from my worlds. I've had this world since 2014 and was wondering if there Is anything I can do to recover this world or not?

If you've saved any backups of you world, then you may be able to restore those. However, worlds are saved locally on your device, so Minecraft Support is unable to assist with recovering any lost or corrupted worlds on your account. ^FF
