The only confusion I have is why I need my email to merge to play the game. I have my username and password which I have used for years to play. I do not have my email or transaction ID and support is completely useless.

It's like you just copy and paste your responses. You're screwing over THOUSANDS of Minecraft players who do not have access to their emails but have access with their username/password. In what world does this make sense to you?
