She isn't using any texture packs, and we are both using Java, but we still get nothing no matter how she resets her laptop

So I got realms and tried to add my friend, but when she clicks realms on her menu screen it gives her an add for realms and nothing else. The invite envelope is visible on the realms bar in the main menu, but as soon as she enters the realms menu nothing is to be found. Advice?
