I guess Microsoft under the guise @MojangSupport don't want to say "We're going to block you from playing Java if you don't migrate to a Microsoft account for no reason other than greed"

Sorry we missed your reply earlier! Migration is mandatory, so you will not be able to play Java Edition after March 10 if you have not migrated. You can still migrate after that date, though! Please see msft.it/6018wzco4 for more information. ^NS
