I’m on 1.18.10 but couldn’t play with my friend because it said she’s on 1.18.2 and said it was a mismatch

Your friend actually needs to download the update, in this case. Although it's a bit confusing, 1.18.2 is actually the update before 1.18.10. You can check out a list of the latest updates here! msft.it/6016wD1cm ^NS
