Already been there. Article doesn't state reasons or how I can get the app from Google Play without having to buy it again. I already bought it once.

Just like traditional console games, each device must own its own copy of Minecraft in order to play the game. Unfortunately, if you wish to play on a different platform you will have to purchase a new license. ^NS

This is garbage Mojang. So what, my kid gets to lose all his worlds too? Since you guys need to make another 7 bucks?

FWIW, I've had success in the past with moving worlds between Amazon devices by copying the files to my PC and then dropping into the correct place on the new device. Not the simplest method, but has worked.

A misleading analogy. Both platforms are Android. Other apps available on the Amazon appstore work on Samsung tablets, so why not Minecraft?
