Any idea why, when I join a friend’s survival world, I can’t break blocks or pick up items or open my inventory? We both have 1.18.0 and no trouble connecting.

This could be happening because of how the player permissions are set. Ask your friend to double check the Game Settings, and make sure you're set to a Member instead of a Visitor. ^NS

They tried joining my world too, where they were set to member, and the same problem happened to them.
