@MojangSupport I am trying to play minecraft after a couple of years, but I can neither convert my old account to a Microsoft account nor log in with my old username and/or password. I can log in the old launcher with my username, but I cannot play realms...

If you log in with your username, you likely have a Legacy account. Unfortunately they have a couple of restrictions at the moment--they can't log in to the website or play on Realms. That will be resolved once Legacy accounts are migrated, which is coming soon! ^NS
