@MojangSupport Fireflies when killed have a 100% chance of dropping glow ink sacs, but a 50% chance of dropping a new item: Firefly Abdomens! when you put one of these in a crafting table, you get Luminescent Goo. When you put this into a smithing table with your gear, it glows!
