@MojangSupport I just made a Microsoft account for my son and logged into Mojang with it. I purchased Minecraft Java (am seeing the charge on my bank account) but after opening the launcher and doing everything it said to do to log in, the account now says I don't own the game.

It shouldn't have been an issue of migration. I purchased the game with the Microsoft account, but then the launcher prompted me to set up XBox and now it's not showing anymore.
