How cool would a huge food overhaul be within a Minecraft update. Adding dozens of new crops, animals, recipe's, etc... and maybe even going as far as different foods giving short-term, minor, status effects. Eat something sugary, movement speed increases by 10% for a minute!

I think lightning hitting sand should spawn glass kind of similar to real life @MojangSupport
