I migrated but the launcher says i no longer own the game. What gives? is it cause i had a microsoft account already but had to change the gamertag?

Cant even migrate when it says it's my turn. I go through the process and it just says "Cant validate your access" when Im using the correct info.

I'm an adult but my Mojang account has been connected to my mom's email ever since I was a little kid, she migrated it to her microsoft account accidentally, and we're wondering if I can migrate it to my microsoft account to make it easier for me to log in.
