@Minecraft @Mojang @MojangSupport Not to be a sad sally but I just saw the expiration of the Java Edition free upgrade and didn't capitalize. My son is a faithful player across multiple platforms. Is there anything to be done? Or suck it up buttercup?

We're sorry, but the promotion to redeem a free copy of Minecraft for Windows 10 for players who purchased Java before October 19th 2018 has ended, and we're unfortunately not able to provide additional codes. ^SA
