Hey so me and my friend are trying to start a modded Minecraft server on 1.5.2 and the server keeps failing to start and pops up an error code saying connection failed: connect is there any way I can be helped with this?

See the thing is it does the same thing in vanilla we keep getting error code and the server we made can’t even be joined by ourselves
