Researching this finds lots of other people having the same complaint, for quite some time. Summary for now: @PixelHeadsTeam appears to have junk on the Minecraft marketplace - AVOID! However, can confirm that Dinosaur World by Pixelbiester a.) works and b.) is very nice so far
