@MojangSupport Out of nowhere yesterday I launch my minecraft client and it says I'm already running minecraft. I ignore this and run it anyways, then it crashes. I restart my computer, it doesn't say I'm already running minecraft, but it crashes anyways...

saying that "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary is not responding". I go to the installations tab and create a new one, still the same response. I went to look on forums and they say I should update my java, to which I not only tried to update but reinstalled java...

and I got the same results. I went to the task manager and tried disabling and re-enabling java and when I launched the game, it first was just frozen, however when I clicked out and clicked back in, of course the same response came up...

so do you know of any solutions I haven't tried. Would reinstalling minecraft itself cause me to lose my worlds? I don't want to lose over a hundred hours worth of progress on survival worlds.

Oh and I check geforce experience and updated my graphics driver. Didn't fix it either :\
