So I wanted to change my username for minecraft @MojangSupport but as soon as I hit enter with the new name in the field the website slows down to a crawl and nothing else happens.

Tried both but in the end using the Mojang instead of the Minecraft website worked. More knowledgeable friends said it might have to do with cookies interfering, but I dont know how or why. Thanks for the reply however.
