A stupid question. why can i not access my settings. And also why does my minecraft crash when in settings.

Im still having trouble with the bedrock edition as the game still not saving progress when save and exiting. Also lost alot of items include diamonds, iron, gold, etc. heres the photo: Is there anything to get this back once it is sorted.
