@MojangSupport player activity is "Temporarily unavailable". Is there a reason for this?

Hi. Player activity in Realms has been removed because of GDPR. We don't know when or if that feature will be re-added. ^DS

Is there no simple solution like having each player tick a checkbox in your mojang account settings. "Allow players to see your activity X realm"?
