We'd recommend making sure there are no connection issues between you and your friend. Make sure you both have an Open NAT type, restart your network hardware, and try using a wired connection if possible. ^LK

That's unlucky! When you create a world, you can choose a different world seed or use a template that will let you spawn in a specific biome. ^LK
