Might be a silly question, but is your portal inside a Nether fortress? Wither skeletons can spawn anywhere in a Nether fortress if it's dark, even if it's next to your portal. ^IV

It's always unfortunate when a world is corrupted. Currently, fixing corrupt save data is not a service we are able to offer. In the future, we recommend saving back ups of your worlds just in case. You can check out those steps here: bit.ly/3jiNA8W ^IV

Hmm, this usually means that there's an issue with the game files that's preventing new worlds from being created. Reinstalling the game should fix it. Be sure to back up your existing worlds first, otherwise they'll be erased. See our guide here: bit.ly/3jiNA8W ^IV
